Why this exists

My parents owned and ran a law practice for their entire working lives. It fed our family, it mattered to its clients, and it was, by any honest measure, a good business.

And at the end, there was nothing to hand over. No one could step in — everything lived with them. The practice didn’t get sold so much as wound down: some property, some files, decades of work ending with a whimper instead of a handshake.

Nobody did anything wrong. There was just no one whose job it was to help them get ready — years earlier, when it would have counted. The people who do that work professionally are excellent, and they mostly arrive late, and they cost more than most small-business owners will ever spend on themselves.

I’m an engineer. I’ve spent my career building systems and running large projects, and I’ve watched AI make it possible to deliver real, patient, one-on-one guidance at software prices. So I built the thing I wish had existed for my parents: a coach that helps you make your business run without you, long before the day you leave it.

Two things I want you to know plainly. I’m not a financial adviser, and Successor.pro never gives financial, legal, tax, or valuation advice — it prepares you for the professionals, it doesn’t replace them; the method draws on the established bodies of practice in exit planning. And it’s a young product run by one person: you’ll get honesty from me about what’s built, what’s next, and what your feedback changed — the founding members are shaping this with me.
